KL Saltfjord the strongest AHTS delivered

Arendal, 15 April 2011.  KL Saltfjord was successfully delivered from STX OSV Langsten 14th April 2011. With a Bollard Pull of 397 tons it is ranked as the largest anchor-handler in the world. KL Saltfjord has been the first vessel given the notation Offshore Service Vessel+, AHTS from Det Norske Veritas. She will be trading in the spot market out of Bergen.

KL Saltfjord was named at the shipyard on 7th April having Mrs. Yoshie Maekawa (the wife of the chairman of K Line) as the godmother and  the Norwegian international artist Sissel Kyrkjebø singing the Norwegian national anthem.
